This is a virtual, unpaid internship at Wall Street Oasis, a leading career community focused on finance. This highly selective, off-cycle program is designed to equip top students with hands-on venture-style research and practical skills, strengthening their VC resumes and connecting them with an extensive network of partner organizations like micro-VC funds, venture studios, and accelerators. The program aims to identify and develop high-potential talent globally.

• Team: Interns work directly with an extensive network of partner organizations, including micro-VC funds, venture studios, accelerators/incubators, and angel syndicates.
• Mission: To provide highly motivated students with intensive venture capital training and practical experience, enhancing their VC resumes and facilitating connections within the venture ecosystem.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Venture Capital Training: Engage in two weeks of intensive, structured training covering core venture investing skills such as fund structures, economics, sourcing workflows, financial instruments (SAFEs, convertible notes, preferred equity), term sheets, cap table modeling basics, startup diligence fundamentals, investment memo writing, exit dynamics, and portfolio math.
• Assessment & Advancement: Successfully complete training assessments to demonstrate mastery of venture capital concepts, progressing to the practical experience and placement phase.
• Deal Flow & Sourcing Support: Work directly with partner organizations to support critical functions including deal flow management and sourcing for potential investments.
• Market & Thesis Research: Conduct in-depth market mapping, thesis research, and competitive landscape analysis to inform investment strategies and identify emerging trends.
• Startup Evaluation & Diligence: Perform comprehensive startup evaluations, prepare detailed deal memos, provide diligence support, and create IC-prep style briefs for investment committee review.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Highly motivated early-career students, including freshmen and sophomores, actively exploring careers in venture capital, startups, growth equity, or broader investing sectors.
• Experience: No prior venture capital experience is required for this program; selection and advancement to the placement phase are primarily determined by successful performance in initial assessments and the subsequent intensive training.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong research and analytical thinking abilities, a quick learning aptitude, excellent written communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively and independently.
