Description: UV Sensing Solution Proof of Concept

This is a 4-6 month internship/graduation project (minimum 5 days/week, starting February 2025) for a student currently pursuing a HBO degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics with a strong passion for photonics and sensor design. The successful candidate will be highly hands-on, comfortable working with real prototypes, and eager to demonstrate the feasibility of new technologies.

The project focuses on creating a proof of principle for a UV sensing solution. The work will be divided into three phases:

1. Exploratory Experiments: This initial phase involves testing the effectiveness of available UV sensors and determining the necessary circuit design for optimal sensor functionality.

2. Circuit Optimization: The candidate will optimize the designed circuits to maximize performance and explore the operational limits of the sensors.

3. Recommendations for Future Improvements: The project will conclude with a report offering recommendations for enhancing the UV sensing solution.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in an HBO Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics program.
• Strong interest in sensor development and optics.
• Proficiency in designing electronic circuits and conducting experiments.
• Availability for a minimum of 5 days per week from February 2025 for 4-6 months.

Compensation and Benefits:

€500,- per month internship/graduation compensation.
Travel cost reimbursement if a public transportation pass (‘OV-weekcard’) is not held.
• Opportunities to network with professionals from various disciplines within and outside the company.
• A collaborative, innovative, and ownership-focused work environment.
