About the Role
This role is for a Survey Intern supporting the Land Survey team in collecting and processing field data. Interns will gain vast experience through mentorship, learning technical reports, layouts, and survey plans for diverse land development and solar projects, while also assisting with office tasks and various survey activities.

What You’ll Do
• Gain vast experience supporting the Land Survey team in collecting and processing field data.
• Be paired with a mentor who will train you on technical reports, layouts, and survey plans for diverse land development and solar projects.
• Assist with office tasks including but not limited to CAD drafting, data download, deed and map research, and filing.
• Learn to perform survey activities such as: leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, profile and cross section surveys.
• Perform physical tasks such as line clearing, pounding stakes, setting monuments, and locating critical underground objects.
• Gain experience with various drawings specific to projects including; ALTA, Final Plats, Maps of Dedication, construction layout, and construction staking.

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are currently a student in a Land Surveying / Geomatics program at a University or Technical School.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Have a basic understanding of plan interpretation.
• Have a proven ability to work well both within a team and independently when needed.

Bonus Qualifications
• Have entry level experience with AutoCAD.
