US People and Organization Graduate | Novo Nordisk

The Tone:
This is a full-time graduate program at Novo Nordisk, primarily US-based with an international rotation requirement. Novo Nordisk is a global pharmaceutical company committed to defeating diabetes and other serious chronic conditions, focusing on creating lasting change for long-term health. This People & Organization graduate role is crucial for strengthening the talent pipeline, attracting and developing post-graduate talents into future managing leaders. You will contribute to enabling business success by translating the company’s business strategy into an actionable workforce strategy that spans the entire employee lifecycle.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $101000 yearly
• Team: Reports formally into the program manager/director within Talent Management, US Operations (USO) Employee Experience, with a host manager appointed by the department where the graduate is positioned.
• Mission: To strengthen Novo Nordisk’s talent pipeline by attracting, recruiting, and developing recent post-graduate talents into future managing leaders, ultimately turning the company’s business strategy into an actionable workforce strategy that captures the entire employee life-cycle.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Rotations: Complete three distinct 6-8 month rotations over a two-year period, including one international assignment, gaining an in-depth understanding of various HR functions such as DEIB, Learning and Leadership Development, Talent Management, and HR Operations.
• Drive Projects: Actively participate in and assume responsibility for specific elements within daily departmental projects, contributing to the development of well-thought-out solutions for complex business challenges.
• Develop Skills: Plan and take part in a variety of graduate activities, including site visits, ‘meet the customers’ events, and other skill training initiatives, to build necessary professional and personal capabilities.
• Foster Collaboration: Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the US Operations Graduate Program, facilitating knowledge-sharing and network building among current and past graduates across different program tracks.
• Uphold Values: Live by the Novo Way values, incorporating them into all actions and consistently demonstrating critical and constructive engagement in all projects and initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Master’s Degree or higher in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business Management. This program is designed for recent post-graduate talents at an entry-level career stage.
• Experience: Possess 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience at the time of application, and have completed your post-graduate degree no more than 12-18 months prior to applying.
• Skills: Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills; Possess a strong ability to adapt to change; and exemplify a team player attitude.
• Bonus: Ability to approach tasks and situations with a global mindset; Demonstrate optimism and resilience in facing challenges; Exhibit strong situational self-awareness and receptiveness; Possess a high degree of curiosity to understand complex challenges; and show a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
