What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Assist in diverse financial analysis tasks, such as thoroughly analyzing financial statements, detailed budget variances, and key performance metrics to provide actionable insights to management.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Actively participate in the comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes, encompassing data collection, financial modelling, and variance analysis to support strategic planning.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring reliable financial information is provided to all stakeholders.
• Audit Support: Provide crucial assistance with both internal and external audits by supplying requested financial information and actively supporting various audit procedures as needed.
• Software Utilization: Proficiently utilize financial software and relevant tools, such as accounting software or advanced spreadsheet applications, to efficiently perform complex financial analysis and reporting tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree program, specifically in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related business field. Candidates are required to have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in their respective country.
• Experience: This is an entry-level university internship opportunity, designed for students to gain foundational professional experience; no prior specific years of professional experience are required beyond academic standing.
• Skills: Demonstrate fluency in both oral and written English with effective communication skills; be fully able to relocate for the duration of the internship to varying locations; and crucially, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and maintain work authorization throughout their employment without requiring sponsorship by Baker Hughes, now or in the future.
