Job Description: UI Engineer
This role requires working cross-functionally to build, test, deploy, and launch UIs that operationalize workflows at scale. Key responsibilities include:
• Building, testing, deploying, and launching UIs at scale.
• Participating in product reviews and team meetings, providing technical insights.
• Helping to scope, estimate, and prioritize conflicting needs.
• Evaluating new technologies to streamline and improve rapid application development.

• Participating in on-call rotation and leading incident reviews.
• Effectively communicating complex technical issues and solutions to stakeholders.

• Collaborating with backend and UI engineers, product designers, and product managers, as well as directly with users.

Required Skills and Experience:
• Passion for UI engineering and relevant technologies; ability to influence architectural decisions.
• Proficiency in building enterprise applications using HTML/JavaScript/TypeScript/CSS. Experience with React and GraphQL is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Hawkins Design System and reusable components.
• Strong sense of ownership, independence, bias towards action, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to recognize, communicate, address, and lead technical improvements.
• Passion for web performance, observability, and developer experience tools.
• In-depth knowledge of web performance and accessibility.
• Strong technical design skills with an emphasis on UI.
