The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Sonic Automotive, located in Charlotte, NC at the corporate office. Sonic Automotive is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States, operating franchised dealerships representing over 25 new vehicle brands and EchoPark Automotive. The Treasury Analyst plays a key strategic role in achieving the financial goals of the organization, supporting these goals by applying fundamental treasury knowledge and analytical skills in a highly visible position across multiple business levels.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Daily cash positioning, including reporting of the prior day’s final position.
• Generate: Monthly reports detailing liquidity and capital structure.
• Calculate: Monthly interest and bank fees, along with performing variance analysis.
• Support: Quarterly deliverables for Financial Reporting to aid public disclosures.
• Prepare: Compliance packages as required by lenders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Educational coursework in accounting, finance, and economics.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required; proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is essential.
• Skills: Self-motivated critical thinking, effective verbal and written communication, detail orientation with a high level of personal organization, and the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables while desiring a treasury-related career path.
• Bonus: Familiarity with business-oriented mathematics and statistics is a plus, as is familiarity with OneStream and commercial banking platforms.
