Treasury Analyst | West Star Aviation Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time, on-site role at West Star Aviation Inc., located in East Alton, IL. West Star Aviation is a leading independent Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) provider in the aviation industry, recognized as the fastest-growing organization of its kind. Employing over 3,000 professionals, the company operates full-service facilities and satellite locations across the country, offering comprehensive services including maintenance, paint, interior, and avionics, supported by the largest Aircraft On Ground (AOG) network. This role is pivotal in managing the company’s financial health and liquidity, specifically addressing the unique operational and capital requirements inherent to a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul business.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee and manage daily cash positions across all company accounts and entities.
• Develop and refine short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts for strategic planning.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis and reporting on liquidity metrics and funding needs.
• Execute weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, accurately recording bank transfers and interest calculations.
• Collaborate with internal procurement, operations, and finance teams to align treasury strategies with operational requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An undergraduate degree, preferably in finance, accounting, or a related field, coupled with extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting, and a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking operations, demonstrating strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in Excel modeling, alongside familiarity with treasury management systems.
• Skills: Excellent research and analytical skills for financial data, superior organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication skills for clear internal and external interaction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software is also required.
• Bonus: Practical knowledge of Corridor and Great Plains Dynamics software is a preferred qualification for this role.
