Fleet Operations Year Round Internship | Tyson Foods
The Tone:
This is a year-round internship at Tyson Foods, located in Springdale, AR. Tyson Foods is one of the world’s largest food companies, committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in its business practices. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop critical skills by contributing to meaningful projects within the transportation management field. Interns will experience entry-level work, engage with impactful projects, and make a real difference in coordinating and optimizing the organization’s transportation operations.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Year-round, Part-time (20 hours/week during school year), Full-time (40 hours/week during summer)
• Location: In-person, Springdale, AR
• Team: Works closely with an experienced transportation team.
• Mission: To gain practical experience in coordinating and optimizing transportation operations within the organization.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office
What You’ll Actually Do

• Support: Communicate with and support cross-functional leaders to execute real-world transportation work.
• Facilitate: Communicate effectively between drivers and other business units throughout transportation and distribution operations.
• Maintain: Assist in maintaining accurate records of all transportation activities, including driver logs, shipment details, and incident reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Incoming junior, senior, or MBA student with at least one year of schooling remaining. Supply Chain majors are preferred; other closely related majors will be considered.
• Experience: Previous work experience in any field is preferred.
• Skills: Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, along with the ability to multitask and demonstrate self-motivation.
