About the Job: Team Six Shop Leadership Intern
As a Team Six Shop Leadership Intern, you will be an integral part of overseeing the daily operation of the Team Six shop. This dynamic role involves critical functions such as managing inventory, handling all transactions, and ensuring a seamless experience for park team members. You will play a vital role in training new team members, monitoring operational efficiency, and contributing to an enhanced team member experience across the park.
Responsibilities
- Greet team members with a friendly demeanor, fostering a positive interaction.
- Maintain the upkeep of shop appearance, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Possess thorough knowledge of uniform requirements for each department, guiding team members in their purchases.
- Routinely check locker rooms to assure accurate counts of available units.
- Assist in the washing and drying of Maintenance and Food & Beverage PPE items.
- Complete all inventory control functions, including monitoring levels and ordering product as necessary to maintain optimal stock.
- Assist in the completion of all department paperwork, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Contribute to Team Member development through comprehensive on-the-job training and follow-up in all job responsibilities.
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task effectively and complete all tasks in a timely manner.
- Assist in developing and promoting a high morale, positive, and effective work environment.
- Coach, counsel, and evaluate team members as necessary to support their growth and performance.
- Issue corrective action to team members for attendance, over/shorts, or performance issues as necessary, following established policies.
- Coordinate break times in strict adherence to Six Flags policies.
- Maintain and ensure all opening and closing checklists are completed as directed.
- Adhere to the park’s attendance policy as stated in the Team Member Handbook.
- Responsible for enforcing all Park and Department policies to maintain operational standards and safety.
- Assist in the Retail locations as needed, providing support across various departments.
- Provide constructive feedback and innovative ideas for improvement to upper management.
- Report all pertinent information to Full-time leadership in a clear and timely manner.
- Follow delegated tasks as assigned by Full-time leadership, demonstrating reliability and initiative.
Qualifications
- Minimum Age: 18 years old.
- Available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be professional, self-motivated, possess the ability to multi-task, and have an enthusiastic attitude.
- Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Must have computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, and the ability to understand and navigate databases.
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with a professional attitude.
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time.
