The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Success Academy, located in New York City, with future expansion to Florida. Success Academy is a rapidly growing network of public charter schools dedicated to providing a fun, rigorous, and whole-child education to all children, regardless of zip code or economic status. This role is crucial in shaping the futures of young people and ensuring every student receives a fair shot at reaching their full potential, ultimately preparing 100% of scholars for four-year colleges. Teachers are central to this mission, receiving world-class coaching and development to redefine what’s possible for their students and themselves.

• Pay: $65000–$75000 yearly

What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruction: Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards, integrating diverse instructional strategies and technologies to optimize scholar learning.
• Classroom Management: Establish and consistently enforce clear classroom rules and procedures, effectively managing a classroom of 20+ scholars to foster a productive and disciplined learning environment.
• Student Assessment: Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing timely feedback and support while meticulously maintaining accurate records of performance.
• Communication: Communicate regularly and transparently with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress, behavioral matters, and overall student well-being and development.
• Collaboration: Actively collaborate with fellow teachers, school staff, and administration to collectively support student success and contribute to a cohesive and high-performing educational community.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A bachelor’s degree must be obtained before the first day of work with Success Academy.
• Experience: No prior background or professional experience in education is required; Success Academy focuses on building teachers through intensive training, ongoing coaching, and world-class development.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for continuous learning, and an unwavering commitment to student development and success.
