What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Preparation: Prepare Fiduciary (1041) and Individual (1040) tax returns with accuracy and compliance.
• Engagement Support: Assist with extensions and support various tax engagements.
• Data Management: Gather, verify, and organize client financial data for tax preparation.
• Regulatory Application: Learn and apply relevant Internal Revenue Service (IRS) codes and regulations to tax work.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality deliverables.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in accounting, finance, or a related field. Possess a basic understanding of accounting principles with completed coursework in Financial and Managerial Accounting. A GPA of 3.0 or above is required.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required beyond academic coursework; however, availability to work full-time during tax season is essential.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is also required.
