Tax Intern | KWC Certified Public Accountants

The Tone:
This is a paid internship at KWC Certified Public Accountants, offering a flexible schedule with full-time and part-time options, requiring a minimum of 25 hours per week. Interns can choose to work in the main Alexandria, VA office, the Richmond, VA office, or remotely. What You’ll Actually Do
• Income Tax Preparation: Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns.
• Diverse Tax Filings: Complete other tax returns as needed, such as sales tax, business license, personal property, payroll tax returns, and business registration forms.
• Accounting Support: Assist with various accounting and auditing projects.
• Client Advisory Services: Contribute to client advisory services projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: Early career stage, gaining hands-on experience in multiple areas of tax.
• Skills:
* Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting common tax data for accurate return preparation.
* Exceptional attention to detail, thoroughness, and organizational skills, critical for managing tax documentation.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external interactions.
* A professional image and positive attitude, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
* Demonstrated team-player mentality, actively participating and receptive to constructive feedback.
