The Tone:
This is a full-time Associate Tax role at Forvis Mazars US, located in Salt Lake City, UT, scheduled for Winter 2027. • Mission: This role focuses on preparing various tax returns, reconciling account differences, and analyzing financial data for clients across diverse industries, contributing to their financial accuracy and strategic planning.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Prepare: Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns for clients.
• Calculate: Calculate tax extensions or estimate payments as required.
• Participate: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a bachelor’s degree, with a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0, and a minimum grade of C or higher in job-relevant coursework, including intermediate accounting. Candidates should be accounting students striving for CPA eligibility and possess solid technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience: Candidates must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in at least one U.S. State by the start date of the role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also required. Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
• Skills: Demonstrate effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, a problem-solving attitude, close attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and against deadlines.
• Bonus: Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work are preferred.
