• Team: Works within an engagement team comprising Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
• Mission: Become familiar with current tax theories and laws and perform procedures in accordance with firm standards in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
• Tech Stack: Excel, PowerPoint
What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Work on various client deliverables, including the preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
• Identify: Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
• Research: Research filing requirements and tax issues utilizing internal revenue code, treasury regulations, and other relevant guidance.
• Manage: Manage daily client workflow and multiple client projects simultaneously.
• Draft: Draft tax technical memorandums.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, with a plan to complete 150 credit hours to be eligible for CPA licensure.
• Experience: Prior work or internship experience, with accounting experience being a plus.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills, demonstrate sharp critical thinking, possess advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, and show eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Bonus: A minimum GPA of 3.2 in both your major and overall, leadership positions in extracurricular activities, and U.S. citizen or permanent resident status are preferred.
