Property Accounting Intern | Greystar
The Tone:
This is a 10-week summer internship at Greystar, offering the flexibility to work remotely or be based out of one of its regional offices. Greystar is a leading global real estate platform, managing and operating over $350 billion of real estate and serving as the largest operator of apartments in the United States. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting tasks for various properties, contributing to financial analysis and understanding the daily operations of an accountant within the real estate business. This position provides a direct opportunity to contribute to the financial oversight of institutional-quality rental housing.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Handle full-cycle accounting tasks for a designated set of properties.
• Analyze: Review financial statements, monitor monthly operating results, and prepare journal entries.
• Reconcile: Perform bank reconciliations and implement accounting control procedures.
• Support: Assist in the annual budgeting process and the development of financial outlooks and forecasts.
• Collaborate: Partner with various Greystar teams to provide financial insights and achieve shared goals.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate student with a quantitative background, pursuing an Accounting, Finance, or related degree.
• Experience: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong written and verbal communication, high standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
• Bonus: Graduating between December 2026 and May 2027.
