Fall 2027 Tax Associate | KBF Advisory

The Tone:
This is an entry-level Tax Associate role at KBF Advisory, requiring you to be physically located in our Lake Oswego, Irvine, or San Diego, CA offices for a minimum of two days per week. KBF is a trusted tax, audit, and advisory leader, recognized for providing a comprehensive range of services and pairing an entrepreneurial mindset with deep technical expertise. • Mission: Support clients with their federal, state, and international tax needs by providing tax compliance, accounting, consulting, and planning services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Preparation: Assist with the preparation and review of tax-related work products and calculations.
• Support: Support tax compliance and consulting engagements in a timely and accurate manner.
• Management: Assist with day-to-day federal, state, and international tax matters that may arise.
• Research: Research and stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and the business environment.
• Communication: Communicate openly with managers and team members regarding project status, timelines, questions, and issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional with an accounting-focused bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, on track to achieve CPA eligibility.
• Experience: Must be on track to graduate no earlier than December 2027 and no later than August 2028, and able to work from a KBF office a minimum of 2 days per week.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Bonus: A master’s degree is preferred, and a minimum 3.2 overall GPA is preferred.
