This is a full-time role for a Tax & Accounting Associate with NPAworldwide’s client, a sophisticated private organization. What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Compliance & Planning: You will provide critical support for tax compliance and strategic planning initiatives, encompassing individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporate entities. This includes preparing estimated tax calculations and coordinating effectively with outside tax advisors to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Financial Information Management: You will compile and meticulously analyze financial information, maintain essential supporting workpapers, and actively assist with detailed tax filings, audits, and responses to tax notices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Accounting Operations & Reporting: You will prepare precise journal entries and conduct thorough account reconciliations. Furthermore, you will assist in the preparation of financial reporting and contribute to the crucial month-end and year-end close processes.
• Expert Collaboration: You will work in close partnership with experienced internal professionals, alongside a network of external tax, audit, and financial advisors, to address complex financial matters and leverage specialized expertise.
• Special Projects & Process Enhancement: You will contribute to special projects, perform valuable financial analysis, identify and assist with process improvements, and adapt to the evolving accounting and tax needs that arise within the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field, providing a solid educational foundation in financial principles and practices.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience specifically in tax and accounting roles, demonstrating practical application of financial knowledge.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities for effective problem-solving, excellent organizational skills to manage complex tasks and data, proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and data manipulation, and exceptional attention to detail. A high degree of professionalism and discretion for handling confidential information is also essential.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include prior experience gained in public accounting, or active progress toward achieving a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
