Tax and Accounting Associate | Aline Accounting Partners
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Aline Accounting Partners, located in Chantilly, VA. This role is vital for supporting a diverse range of tax and accounting engagements for both individual and small business clients, combining essential hands-on accounting work with comprehensive tax preparation, compliance, research, and client service responsibilities.

• Mission: Manage assigned work across multiple client engagements, communicating directly with clients and collaborating with senior team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of accounting and tax services.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Operations: Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, supporting schedules, and financial reports for small business clients.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare individual, partnership, S corporation, corporate, and trust tax returns.
• Client Communication: Communicate directly with clients to gather information, resolve discrepancies, answer routine questions, and provide engagement updates.
• Engagement Management: Manage multiple accounting and tax assignments while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
• Research & Collaboration: Research federal and state tax matters, summarize findings, and collaborate with senior team members to determine appropriate solutions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Entry-level career level.
• Experience: 0-3 years of accounting and tax experience, preferably within public accounting.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines, strong focus on accuracy and quality of work, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus: Hands-on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting is preferred.
