Talent Acquisition Project Intern (E-Commerce) – 2026 Summer (BS/MS) | TikTok

The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, a company at the forefront of short-form mobile video with a mission to inspire creativity and bring joy. The E-commerce team builds the technology that powers a joyful, engaging, and effortless shopping experience for creators, sellers, and buyers globally. This role is a key player within the Talent Acquisition team, contributing to building essential teams for the E-commerce organization. The intern will support the identification, engagement, and attraction of top technical talent, ensuring a high-quality candidate experience. This project intern role offers a real-world professional experience, providing practical skills and a deeper understanding of career interests.

• Mission: To identify, engage, and attract top technical talent for the E-commerce organization while ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist hiring managers and recruiters across both English and Mandarin-speaking regions to understand technical requirements, define candidate profiles, and calibrate talent needs.
• Strategize: Help develop and execute sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of top-tier technical talent for critical roles under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Engage: Learn to identify and engage passive candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and other technical communities.
• Optimize: Participate in refining sourcing processes and tools to boost efficiency, candidate quality, and the overall effectiveness of the hiring funnel.
• Project Support: Support various talent acquisition projects, such as organizing virtual hiring events, gathering data for market intelligence reports, and assisting with diversity-focused sourcing initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Experience: Must be able to commit to a 6-month full-time work period during 2026 Summer.
• Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and high motivation to learn about technical and non-technical recruitment.
• Bonus: Prior internship or project experience in HR or recruiting; familiarity with or a strong interest in learning sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter; an interest in the tech industry, specifically regarding roles in Product Management, Design, Strategy, or Data Science; a data-driven mindset with a willingness to learn how to use metrics to inform sourcing strategies.
