Table Games Dealer – Job Description
A Table Games Dealer is a critical frontline team member responsible for facilitating various table games within a casino environment. This role involves direct interaction with customers, managing game play, handling financial transactions, and ensuring adherence to gaming regulations and internal controls.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Guest Service Excellence: Provide outstanding guest service, maintaining a friendly relationship with customers to enhance their gaming experience.
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance: Strictly adhere to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and its regulations, including Title 31 Cash Transactions, Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR), and Customer Identification requirements. This is a non-negotiable aspect of the role.
- Financial Transactions:
- Exchange cash for playing chips accurately.
- Pay winning bets and collect losing bets with precision.
- Verify currency before placing it into the drop box.
- Game Management:
- Ensure all wagers are placed correctly before cards are dealt.
- Deal cards according to established casino standard operating procedures.
- Possess a good working knowledge and understanding of all Agua Caliente 21 games.
- Compute payable odds accurately to pay winning bets.
- Maintain the integrity of all table games activity at all times.
- Security and Compliance:
- Adhere to all casino policies, procedures, and internal controls without exception.
- Responsible for table security at all times, monitoring the game and surrounding area.
- Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed and deposited into the drop box.
- Table Maintenance: Maintain a clean and neat gaming table throughout the shift.

Education And/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- One or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in dealing cards.
- GAMING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
- Must successfully complete an audition, meet Agua Caliente Casinos’ requirements for dealing efficiency, and pass an appropriate proficiency test.
- Must be able to deal the game in a fluid, efficient manner.
- Must possess the ability to differentiate chip (cheque) colors and their appropriate values quickly and accurately.
- Must exhibit a professional demeanor and possess excellent communication skills when interacting with the public.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
To perform this job successfully, the individual must meet the following physical and environmental demands:
- Ability to stand, move, and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile.
- Ability to climb stairs.
- Ability to sit at a desk/work station for the duration of a shift (though this role primarily involves standing at the table).
- Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment, which is common in casino settings.
- The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate but will escalate significantly when located within the casino environment.
- Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis.
- Requires sufficient manual dexterity of hand to use office equipment, including but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment, and a multi-line telephone.
