The Tone:
This is an internship at PlusAI, located in Silicon Valley, with operations in the United States and Europe. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Silicon Valley, CA
• Pay: $19–$65 hourly
• Mission: Lead the delivery of specific project components, applying advanced engineering practices to contribute to the acceleration of next-generation autonomous truck deployment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Ownership: Drive the successful completion of assigned projects and tasks.
• Collaboration: Proactively seek and integrate feedback and verification from senior engineering team members.
• Task Management: Effectively manage personal time and assigned tasks to ensure timely progress.
• AI Application: Strategically apply artificial intelligence tools and processes to enhance engineering workflows.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively pursuing a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
• Experience: Prior professional or academic experience, including research, with Autonomous Driving, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), or Robotics.
• Skills: Proficiency in programming languages Python and C++; Experience using Linux-based tools (preferred); Strong organizational capabilities for managing projects and priorities; Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
• Bonus: Working knowledge of automotive safety standards such as ISO 26262 and SOTIF; Experience developing vehicle-level control software for powertrain, battery, or chassis systems; Familiarity with vehicle communication networks and protocols.
