• Pay: $195000–$234000 yearly
• Team: Reports to the EVP of the sector and President, serving as a senior leadership team member overseeing teams across multiple offices.
• Mission: To provide senior leadership, strategic counsel to major clients, and drive business growth by leveraging communications expertise and fostering team development.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Corporate Strategy: Partner with executive leaders to build out corporate capabilities and set strategic direction within specific sectors.
• Client Counsel & Account Ownership: Serve as an owner, communications adviser, and strategist for multiple accounts, guiding senior executives with expertise in executive communications, storytelling, and broadcast to develop impactful narratives.
• Market Influence & Relations: Maintain and expand relationships with critical media and influencers, providing clients with strategic advice on resource allocation and engagement across paid, earned, owned, and shared channels.
• New Business & Sector Expertise: Act as the lead expert for technology in new business development efforts, applying storytelling expertise to prospects and clients, while fostering strong collaboration across agency leaders.
• Team Leadership & Development: Oversee and lead teams across multiple offices, attracting, developing, coaching, and mentoring staff in storytelling and media prowess to deliver high-quality integrated communications services.
The Must-Haves
• Background: 15+ years of Communications experience required, with a minimum of 10-12 years in Technology communications or a related area of expertise, plus previous experience with financial models and P&L or budget responsibility.
• Experience: At least 5+ years leading teams, demonstrating a proven ability to attract, inspire, develop, and lead other senior leaders with a track record for building lasting and skilled teams.
• Skills: Expertise in executive communications, storytelling, and broadcast; strong client and business management counsel; ability to cultivate relationships with media and influencers; strong presentation and consulting skills.
• Bonus: High travel requirements up to 40% for market presence, experience working globally and with colleagues in multiple locations, solid organizational and leadership skills, self-motivation, adaptability to changing priorities, exceptional communication skills, and a customer service orientation.
