Supply Chain Intern | Tactile Medical

At Tactile Medical, we are dedicated to developing at-home therapy devices for individuals managing lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency, and respiratory illnesses. The role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and resources, directly impacting our ability to provide critical therapies to patients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Manage a supply chain project or a portion of a project through completion during the 11-week internship, directly contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
• Supplier Performance: Prepare and gather essential data for Business Reviews with Key Suppliers, actively assessing their strength, analyzing delivery performance, and updating purchase order schedules as needed.
• Data Analysis: Analyze and measure critical key metrics for the Supply Chain Department, providing valuable insights that inform strategic decisions and operational improvements.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively assess supplier risk for critical components and identify potential RFx (Request for X) opportunities to strengthen our supply base.
• System Optimization: Perform necessary system analysis, data management, and system testing in collaboration with various departments to refine the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior, pursuing a degree in supply chain management or another relevant technical discipline.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong academic performance with a GPA of 3.0 or above, combined with the ability to commit to the full 11-week, 40-hour per week internship program.
• Skills: Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring employment sponsorship now or in the future is essential.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include relevant technical coursework or research experience related to supply chain, and practical experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP software, ideally NetSuite.
