About the Role
This paid summer internship provides an opportunity to gain meaningful professional experience within the PA CHC Health Plan. It is designed for students interested in healthcare strategy, policy, and improving care for people with complex needs, focusing on improving access to care and supporting healthier communities.

What You’ll Do
• Gain meaningful professional experience while learning about the healthcare industry and the work we do.
• Work closely with a designated manager and mentor to contribute to real team initiatives.
• Complete a defined project aligned with departmental priorities.
• Collaborate with team members.
• Develop professional skills.
• Gain exposure to the operations and strategy behind managed care, healthcare delivery, and community impact.
• Present work and key learnings to leaders and peers at the conclusion of the internship.
• Help support the development of strategies and care models that better connect Medicaid and Medicare services for individuals enrolled in Pennsylvania’s Community HealthChoices (CHC) program, including those who rely on Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS).
• Work with experienced professionals across clinical, operational, and policy teams.
• Gain hands-on experience with real-world projects focused on care coordination, member experience, and health equity.
• Gain meaningful exposure to Medicaid–Medicare integration and population health.
• Make a positive impact on vulnerable communities.

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are currently enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program.
• Have completed at least one year of college coursework by the start of the internship.
• Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Have the ability to work onsite, 3 days per week.
