Job Description
New York Life Investments Summer Internship Program
This 10-week paid internship program is designed for rising juniors and seniors seeking experience and skills to launch their careers in the financial industry. The program offers opportunities across various business areas, including:
• New York Life Investments Management: Positions are available in New York City and Jersey City on teams including Marketing, Product, Strategy, and Data & Technology.
• Apogem Capital: With offices in New York, Chicago and Richmond, Apogem Capital is a leading alternatives investor. Positions are available in Finance & Accounting, Tax, and Business Intelligence.
• MacKay Shields: With locations in New York, California, and New Jersey, this boutique investment firm offers internships on the Municipal Bond, High Yield, Fixed Income, and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
• Creating and participating in individual and/or group presentations.
• Partnering with key internal stakeholders.
• Collaborating with investment partners on the creation of new product marketing materials.
• Synthesizing research/analyses and developing presentations.
• Assisting with the planning and coordination of conferences/seminars/meetings.
• Conducting credit research, security analysis, industry/market research.
• Participating in operational work such as updating and maintaining databases.
• Attending training and development seminars.
• Exposure to senior leadership, subject matter experts, networking opportunities, and social events.
Required Skills:
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited 4-year university or college with an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
• Business, Finance or related major preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Prior internship experience, or significant contributions to campus or community extracurricular activities.

Pay Transparency:
• Salary Range: $26 – $31 / hour
• Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
• Discretionary bonus eligible: No
