About the Internship
Driehaus Capital Management LLC offers a summer internship within their Investment Management & Research Team. This internship provides a hands-on experience that complements your academic learning and career aspirations in the financial services industry. Interns get to learn the fundamentals of investing by working on real projects alongside Assistant Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Managers.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze financial data: Dive deep into financial data to gain valuable insights.
• Assist senior investment professionals: Contribute to the evaluation of potential investment opportunities.
• Monitor portfolio performance: Track and analyze the performance of existing portfolio holdings.
• Participate in investment discussions: Engage in discussions with experienced investment professionals, contributing your ideas and perspectives.
• Support with research and data gathering: Monitor news related to current holdings, gather company data, and assist with other projects assigned by the Portfolio Manager or Senior Analyst.
Internship Basics
• Days & Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Duration: Flexible, based on team needs and individual intern availability.
• Location: River North neighborhood, Chicago, IL
Qualifications:
• College student: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date of May 2025 or later.
• Demonstrated interest in the stock market: A passion for understanding and analyzing the financial markets.
• Business, Finance, or Economics major: Preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong desire to learn: A genuine interest in learning about asset management and the financial services industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Comfortable with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects: Effective at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proactive, innovative, and resourceful team player: A collaborative approach to work with a positive and adaptable attitude.
