The Tone:
This is an internship at Armstrong Watson LLP, located in Newcastle, Glasgow, Leeds, and Carlisle. What You’ll Actually Do
• Work alongside seasoned professionals, immersing yourself in various aspects of the firm’s operations and service delivery.
• Develop your technical skills and acquire practical knowledge relevant to the accounting and business advisory industry.
• Actively participate in client engagements, primarily within the Audit & Assurance service lines, to gain direct experience.
• Work with a variety of clients, broadening your understanding of the industry and building a versatile skill set.
• Network with professionals across all levels, including partners, managers, and fellow interns, to build valuable connections for your academic and professional journey.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. Currently studying at University and predicted to achieve a 2:1 degree or above in any discipline. Must hold at least 7 GCSEs at Grade 5 (C) or above (including Maths, English, and at least one Science) or a minimum of 6 National Fives (including Maths, English, and at least one Science) at Grade C or above. Additionally, possess a minimum of 96 UCAS points (obtained at A Level or BTEC Level 3+).
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required. Candidates must be passionate about pursuing a career in Accounting.
• Skills: Strong aptitude for developing technical skills and acquiring practical knowledge, coupled with the capacity to actively participate in client engagements and build a versatile skill set.
• Bonus: Holding a full UK driving licence and having access to a vehicle is advantageous.
