• Role: Internship
• Location: Hybrid – Springfield, IL and Alexandria, VA
• Pay: $29–$30 hourly
• Team: Intern reports to a Manager.
• Mission: Support the audit process for State agency financial statements and operations by analyzing data, building client relationships, and collaborating with the team to deliver exceptional service.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn Audit Processes: Develop an understanding of the audit process.
• Test Financials: Analyze and test key elements of State agency financial statements and operations.
• Build Relationships: Establish working relationships with client personnel.
• Deliver Client Service: Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional client service.
• Support Projects: Work on a variety of tasks within audit projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status at time of internship. Engaged in an accounting, cost accounting, or auditing program at a college or university. Interested in pursuing CPA credentials.
• Experience: Experienced in Microsoft Suite.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work collaboratively with a varied team; An interest in auditing; Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
