Audit Intern – Summer 2027 | SERVPRO
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at SERVPRO, located in Gallatin, Tennessee. SERVPRO has been a trusted leader for over 50 years in fire and water cleanup, restoration, mold mitigation, construction, and biohazard remediation, supporting over 2,200 individually owned and operated franchises across the United States and Canada. This Audit Intern role offers a comprehensive understanding of the Audit Department’s day-to-day functions and responsibilities, providing hands-on experience and insight into key business drivers, industry trends, and franchise operations. It is crucial for developing a strong foundation in royalty reporting and the franchise audit process while actively supporting audit activities within a professional community.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage in Department Operations: Actively participate in weekly intern activities, attend team meetings, and contribute to department events as scheduled.
• Learn Business Processes: Shadow experienced employees to gain a comprehensive understanding of SERVPRO’s business operations and franchise model.
• Support Audit Reviews: Perform preliminary reviews of audit materials and documentation submitted by Franchise owners to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Synthesize Audit Findings: Prepare preliminary summaries of audit findings, translating complex data into clear reports for audit staff.
• Contribute to Initiatives: Assist with various department projects, support process improvement initiatives, and participate in special projects assigned by supervisors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School diploma or equivalent is required, in addition to being a current Junior or Senior enrolled in college, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field.
• Experience: Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a focus on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines; a proactive and creative mindset with a willingness to learn; strong attention to detail and accuracy; and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
