Fund Accountant | Gen II Fund Services

Gen II Fund Services is a leading global independent private equity fund administrator, responsible for administering over $1 trillion in private capital for a significant client base. In this role, the Fund Accountant will be crucial in providing comprehensive accounting services, ensuring the accurate preparation and processing of transactions and financial statements, which underpins the operational integrity and financial reporting for diverse private capital funds. The position contributes directly to the company’s mission of offering best-in-class support to private fund sponsors through its experienced team and robust operational infrastructure.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Management: Process all cash-related activities for funds and diligently perform bank reconciliations to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
• Ledger Maintenance: Record all necessary journal entries into the accounting system and meticulously maintain the general ledger, serving as the foundational record for all financial transactions.
• Reporting Preparation: Prepare and organize comprehensive workpapers and checklists, which are essential supporting documentation for financial reporting, and compile financial statements along with required footnotes.
• Investor Capital Operations: Administer the processing of investor capital calls and distributions, and accurately prepare detailed partner capital account information to ensure transparent communication with investors.
• Audit Coordination: Act as a key point of contact and actively liaise with the client’s independent auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations during audit engagements.
