AM/SCC-Sales Controlling and Coordination Intern | Bosch USA

The TL;DR

• Mission: This role monitors accounts receivable, manages customer communication for payments, and resolves billing disputes to ensure financial health and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Monitor Accounts Receivable: Review aging reports daily/weekly to identify overdue invoices and track high-volume customer accounts closely, monitoring unapplied cash, short-pays, and deductions common in automotive billing.
• Facilitate Customer Communication: Engage with Tier customers via calls and emails regarding upcoming or past due invoices, meticulously documenting all interactions in the appropriate tracking tool.
• Resolve Payment Disputes: Internally escalate payment delays caused by quality, delivery, or pricing issues, collaborating with Sales, Logistics, and Quality teams to achieve resolution.
• Process Financial Claims: Request debit memos, chargebacks, and short-pays related to warranty returns, logistics claims, pricing discrepancies, or ASN/EDI issues, including obtaining Proof of Delivery from plants.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or marketing with at least one class completed, and be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is required beyond current university enrollment and completion of at least one relevant course.
• Skills: Ability to organize large volumes of data into concise, accurate summaries, proficiency in Excel, and demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working independently.
