Summer 2026 Process Engineering Technician | AE2S
The Tone:
This is a Summer 2026 internship at AE2S, located in Maple Grove, MN. AE2S is a specialized civil/environmental consulting engineering firm renowned for its award-winning culture and commitment to client service. This role is crucial for supporting project teams in designing essential municipal and industrial infrastructure, contributing directly to a variety of water and wastewater treatment engineering projects. • Mission: To support the design of water and wastewater treatment engineering projects through drafting and project organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Drawing Production: Prepare detailed electronic drawings from marked-up plans or verbal instructions provided by engineers and designers, strictly adhering to established CADD standards.
• Infrastructure Design Drafting: Perform specific design drafting tasks for a diverse range of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, pipelines, and other related municipal and industrial facilities.
• Project Coordination: Organize and schedule work effectively to help ensure that project goals are accomplished within established budgets and timelines, actively coordinating with engineers and other design team members.
• Document Management & Review: Complete drawing reviews as needed to verify accuracy and compliance, and meticulously organize and maintain all project-related files and documentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires candidates who are actively working towards an Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or a closely related engineering technology field.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience and proficiency in using AutoCAD software for design and drafting purposes is essential.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all drafting and documentation tasks, coupled with the flexibility to work occasional overtime as project demands dictate.
