Role Overview

Brother International Corporation is excited to announce its Summer 2026 Internship Program. This unique opportunity offers selected undergraduate students a PAID, summer-long experience designed to provide meaningful work and projects while helping Brother develop a strong pipeline of talent.

The program is scheduled to run from Monday, June 1, 2026, through Friday, August 14, 2026. There is an optional opportunity to extend your start date by 1-2 weeks earlier and/or continue 1-2 weeks later, based on your academic schedule and business needs.

This role will be based at our Bridgewater, NJ location and will follow a hybrid work schedule. Interns are expected to be on-site at least 3 days a week, with assigned office days determined by the manager based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities (Duties & Projects)

As a Summer 2026 Intern, you will play an integral role in contributing to our business objectives through meaningful projects. Dependent on business need and priorities, your responsibilities may include:

  • Defining and documenting critical business terms and metadata within a new data governance platform to foster a shared understanding across various teams.
  • Designing and piloting the initial training curriculum to drive user adoption of the new data governance platform across a designated pilot business unit.
  • Documenting end-to-end processes for selected governance workflows, such as the procedure for requesting new data sources or remediating data quality issues.

Experience & Qualifications

To be eligible for this exciting program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Eligibility:

  • Must be a current college sophomore or junior (rising junior or rising senior during the Summer 2026 program period).
  • Must be returning to an undergraduate program following the summer internship to be eligible.
  • Possess valid US work authorization.
  • Ability to work full-time, adhering to the expected schedule and on-site presence of the position.

Target Major(s) or Fields of Study:

  • Management Information Systems

Required Experience & Technical Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Word.
  • A basic understanding of database concepts or data structures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Preferred Experience & Technical Skills:

  • Exposure to data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
  • Familiarity with Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) or flowcharting techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience creating training materials or delivering presentations.

  • You are aligned with our posted non-negotiable program pay rate of $22.00/hour and a 40-hour work week.
  • You are available for the entirety of the 11-week program period and do not have any extended trips that would impact your ability to participate for at least 11 weeks.
  • You have reviewed the work location and schedule and are aligned. You will be within a commutable distance of the Bridgewater, NJ work location and able to meet the schedule requirements of the hybrid position, without any availability of commuter or housing assistance from Brother.
