Job Description:
The County of Los Angeles is seeking a Student Worker, Information Technology to join their team. This is a temporary, part-time position (up to 30 hours per week) offering on-the-job training and experience in the IT field while you pursue your degree.
Key Responsibilities:
• Performing basic information technology tasks, including installing and configuring desktop software and hardware.
• Participating in the analysis, design, evaluation, testing, and implementation of computer systems.
• Providing customer service through help desk support.
• Conducting hardware and software inventories.
• Assisting in programming tasks, web page modifications, and preparing operating documentation.
• Assisting in conducting training sessions for staff.
• Assisting users in identifying and resolving network, software, and hardware problems.
• Assisting in ad hoc report development.
Requirements:
• Current enrollment in an accredited college or community college with specialization in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to use an alternative method of transportation.
Salary:
• \$22.09 Hourly
