2026-27 NY Student Services Manager of Culture | Achievement First

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Achievement First, located in multiple New York locations, with a start date of July 15, 2026. Achievement First operates a growing network of high-performing public charter schools, committed to providing students in historically underserved communities with a great education. The organization focuses on rigorous, engaging instruction to prepare students for top colleges and leadership opportunities. This role is a cornerstone of the school-based operations team, supporting principals by managing non-instructional student services and ensuring data integrity, which allows them to focus exclusively on student achievement and teaching staff development.

• Team: Reports to the Director of School Operations, works regularly with data system product managers at the network support office.
• Mission: This person ensures smooth day-to-day administration of non-instructional student services and maintains data integrity across Achievement First systems.
• Tech Stack: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, educational technology, digital learning models/applications

What You’ll Actually Do
• Event Planning: Collaborate with school leadership to plan and execute school special events, such as report card nights and award ceremonies.
• Cultural Enrichment: Coordinate logistics for cultural events, bringing external cultural experiences, and integrating enrichment opportunities into the curriculum.
• Food Services: Coordinate daily student food services, troubleshoot related issues, and track meal consumption.
• Transportation Management: Manage daily student transportation services, address issues, and conduct required emergency drills.
• Health Services Coordination: Coordinate student health services, monitor health trends, and collaborate with nursing staff for student care.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution. Manages school culture and student services within an operational team.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of administrative experience or a similar environment. Experience with educational technology and digital learning models/applications, demonstrating a strong track record of program development and integration.
• Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills; creativity and innovation in planning and executing school events; excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
