About the Company:
This job posting is for a student manager position within the Men’s Basketball program at Utah Valley University (UVU).
Job Description:
Utah Valley University is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated student managers to support the day-to-day operations of the Men’s Basketball program. This is a hands-on role requiring commitment, organizational skills, and a passion for basketball. Working hours are during the day, aligning with team practice schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and tear down for practice/games: Preparing the court and facilities for practices and games, and returning them to their original state afterward.
• Help with team meals: Managing team meals, including ordering food, setting up the dining area, distributing meals, and cleaning up after.
• Rebounding for individual workouts: Providing rebounding support for players during individual training sessions.
• Video Projects (HUDL/SportsCode): Assisting with video-related tasks, potentially involving the use of HUDL and/or SportsCode software. This may include filming, coding, and analyzing game and practice footage.
• Help with Practice and Games: Assisting coaches during practices and games, including setting up drills, providing stools for players, and rebounding.
• Clean/Organize gym and weight room: Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the gym and weight room.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned: Completing other tasks as needed to support the basketball program.
Requirements:
• Must be a current UVU student and have been awarded Federal Work-Study for 2025-2026 through UVU Financial Aid. Please contact the financial aid and scholarships office before applying for this position if you need more information about the Federal Work Study program.
• Knowledge of the game of Basketball.
• Familiar with filming and coding games and practice.
• Organization skills.
• Physically fit with hand-eye coordination.
