Position Summary: Student Intern, MCIT – Cybersecurity

NYU Langone Health’s Cyber Security Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity for high-potential individuals to join their team. This immersive 10-12 week summer training experience is designed for incoming undergraduate Juniors and Seniors, as well as 1st-year Graduate Students, to develop and apply cutting-edge skills alongside world-class cyber innovators and digital security leaders.

Participants will receive formal training in key security disciplines and gain invaluable opportunities to apply and strengthen their skills in developing creative solutions to address critical threats. A significant component of the program is mentorship and coaching; each participant is paired with a formal mentor-coach, providing direct learning experiences from seasoned cybersecurity team members and exposure to guidance from senior management.

Upon successful completion of the 10-12 week development program, participants will be well-prepared for, and may have the opportunity to transition into, a full-time analyst role, supporting one or more key functions within the Cyber Security team of NYU Langone’s IT organization.

Key Responsibilities & Training Areas:

Participants will gain hands-on experiences across multiple critical cybersecurity disciplines, including:

• IT Controls & Regulatory Compliance
• Identity & Access Management
• Vulnerability Management
• Cyber Threat Management & Incident Response
• Network Security

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidate must be currently enrolled in an accredited university.
• Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Salary Information:

In compliance with the New York State Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements, the salary range for this role is $25.00 – $30.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
