Structural Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Structural Engineering Intern for full-time work during the summer months of 2026. This presents a valuable opportunity to deepen your understanding of the structural engineering field! The ideal candidate will be a student eager to expand their knowledge of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, gain experience with computer analysis software systems, and thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Work semi-independently on assigned tasks.
  • Utilize basic computer skills for daily activities, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics, along with a working knowledge of computer-aided drafting (CAD).
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrated potential to develop these abilities).
  • Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrated potential to develop these abilities).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • A positive contributor to the overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate degree in structural engineering, or architectural or civil engineering with a strong emphasis on structures.
