Store Operations Manager | In Common With
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at In Common With + Quarters, located in Tribeca, NY. In Common With is a design studio that defines a new vocabulary for interiors by blending old-world craft with at-scale manufacturing for lighting and objects. Quarters, opened in 2024, is a hybrid retail and hospitality destination that showcases a vision of home through collaborations in art and design. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the Quarters showroom, encompassing all aspects of inventory, logistics, and space management to support a vibrant retail and hospitality experience.

• Mission: This person owns end-to-end inventory operations for vintage and retail products, oversees logistics, and ensures the operational readiness of the Quarters space.
• Tech Stack: Shopify, Google Workspace
What You’ll Actually Do
• Vintage Operations: Manage the full vintage product pipeline from procurement and restoration through photography, pricing, and floor placement.
• Space Management: Oversee all Quarters floor resets, coordinate events and maintenance, and lead special projects like renovations or buildouts.
• Retail Product Management: Source and reorder retail products, manage vendor relationships, and maintain accurate product listings in Shopify.
• Logistics Coordination: Own all inbound and outbound logistics for Quarters, including freight coordination, shipment scheduling, and damage claims management.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in operational processes and implement improvements while documenting and refining core workflows.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager-level experience in operations, inventory, logistics, showroom, or retail, ideally within lighting, furniture, interiors, or high-end retail environments.
• Experience: 5–7 years of experience, including freight coordination, white-glove delivery, installations, damage claims management, vendor management, purchase orders, and end-to-end inventory workflows.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency with inventory management and ecommerce systems (e.g., Shopify), familiarity with Google Workspace, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple operational workstreams with high attention to detail.
• Bonus: Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, motivated by collaboration and problem-solving, comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to contribute to a culture that values kindness, accountability, and curiosity.
