What You’ll Actually Do
• [License Application]: Engage in the process of applying for and successfully obtaining all required specialized licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages and/or tobacco products, as mandated by local jurisdictions.
• [Background Submission]: Diligently compile and submit all necessary detailed background information to the local authorities, fulfilling the strict requirements for personal qualification for specialized sales licenses.
• [Compliance Maintenance]: Continuously adhere to all conditions and stipulations attached to specialized licenses, ensuring that personal conduct and store operations remain compliant with local, state, and federal laws regarding regulated sales.
• [Regulatory Monitoring]: Stay informed and updated on any changes or new requirements in local jurisdiction laws pertaining to the sale of alcohol and tobacco, proactively adapting store practices to maintain full compliance.
• [Risk Mitigation]: Work closely with store leadership to understand and implement strategies that mitigate the risk of non-compliance, recognizing that failure to qualify for or maintain licenses can directly impact employment status and store operations.
• [Training & Development]: Actively participate in all training programs designed to educate managers on the intricacies of selling regulated products, including age verification protocols, inventory management for controlled items, and reporting requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager career level, specifically entering a training program for retail management. A fundamental understanding of the critical importance of regulatory adherence within a retail environment, particularly where specialized product sales are involved.
• Experience: A demonstrated willingness and ability to undergo rigorous background checks and to provide comprehensive, detailed personal information as a mandatory step for obtaining specialized governmental licenses.
