  • Skilled at breaking down complex derivations (e.g., likelihood function, posterior distribution) and decompositions (e.g., ANOVA).
  • Aptitude for guiding students through designing experiments, performing multivariate analysis, constructing confidence regions, and implementing statistical models in software.
  • Emphasis on theoretical foundations and the ability to connect advanced statistics to research applications in biostatistics, econometrics, and machine learning.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
  • Familiarity with graduate statistics curricula and common challenges students face (e.g., understanding measure-theoretic probability, deriving estimator properties, interpreting complex model outputs).
  • Ability to adapt instruction using statistical computing tools like R or Python, relevant research paper examples, and proof-based exercises to support masters and doctoral students across various quantitative disciplines.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Strong ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with and explain material using multiple, accessible approaches.
