Tax Accountant | Teads

The Tone:
This is a full-time Staff Tax Accountant role at Teads, headquartered in New York, NY. Teads operates as a leading omnichannel advertising platform, dedicated to driving meaningful business outcomes for advertisers across all screens by leveraging predictive AI technology. As a vital member of the Tax Team, this role is crucial for managing US corporate income tax compliance, financial reporting, and indirect tax, with unique exposure to post-merger integration and strategic tax planning, directly contributing to the company’s future success.

• Team: Reports directly to the Tax Manager, joining the Tax Team.
• Mission: Manage US corporate income tax compliance, financial reporting, and indirect tax, contributing to post-merger integration and tax planning.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

What You’ll Actually Do
Compliance Management: Prepare and manage US (federal & state) corporate income tax compliance filings.
Financial Reporting: Support quarterly and year-end financial reporting processes, including exposure to tax accounting concepts like book-to-tax adjustments and deferred tax asset/liability calculations.
Data Analysis: Efficiently gather and analyze data required for Federal and State corporate income tax returns, and formulate responses to taxing authority inquiries.
Indirect Tax Support: Contribute to the compliance efforts for indirect taxes.
Strategic Engagement: Participate in post-merger integration activities and explore tax planning opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax. Strong foundational knowledge of core accounting principles, including debits, credits, and general ledger journal entries.
• Experience: 1-2 year(s) of tax compliance/accounting experience.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to understand and communicate technical tax issues to a supervisor, proactive attitude for process improvements and automation, self-starter attitude towards learning and staying current in tax developments, proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bonus: CPA preferred, public accounting and corporate tax experience, experience with NetSuite ERP system, experience with OneSource tax provision software, exposure to embedding AI tools (Gemini, Claude, GPT) in daily work, exposure to tax provisions for financial reporting, exposure to digital media & digital advertising.
