The Tone:

The company is an industry leader seeking to enhance its accounting team. This Staff Accountant will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely external financial filings, maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements for a highly visible role within the accounting team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare and review SEC filings: Support the preparation and review of SEC filings, including financial statements (10-Q, 10-K) and related disclosures.
• Maintain documentation: Prepare supporting schedules and maintain tie-out documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness of filings.
• Coordinate external reporting: Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and external auditors to coordinate timely reporting.
• Support public communications: Assist with earnings releases, board materials, and investor presentations.
• Drive compliance and efficiency: Participate in the XBRL tagging process, contribute to process improvements, support SOX compliance initiatives, and perform technical accounting research.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent field.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in public accounting and/or industry, with exposure to SEC reporting.
• Skills: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance; excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills for managing multiple priorities.
