• Team: Corporate Accounting team, with a direct reporting line to the Corporate Accounting Manager. The team is known for its amazing collaborative culture, offering tons of mentorship and training.
• Mission: To take ownership of key accounting functions, ensuring accurate multi-entity financial reporting and supporting various business units across the organization’s growing portfolio through consolidations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Close: Proactively assist with a variety of month-end close duties, contributing to the timely and accurate completion of financial cycles for multiple entities.
• General Ledger Management: Support the meticulous maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Financial Reporting: Be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring full compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Cash Reconciliation: Collaborate effectively with various business units to develop and reconcile company cash positions across all entities, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Inter-company Balances: Actively assist with the inter-company out-of-balance reconciliation process, helping to resolve discrepancies and ensure balanced financial records across the corporate structure.
• Accounting Support: Provide essential accounting support when needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist with diverse financial tasks for the corporate team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, providing a strong theoretical foundation in financial principles and practices.
• Experience: A minimum of 1+ years of progressive experience in an accounting role, demonstrating practical application of accounting knowledge.
• Skills: Possess a solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Bonus: Prior experience gained within manufacturing, distribution sectors, or public accounting environments is strongly preferred, offering an advantageous understanding of relevant industry practices.
