• Mission: Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, manage journal entries, perform account reconciliations and variance analysis, and ensure compliance with SOX controls.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Financial Transactions: Timely prepare journal entries and account reconciliations in strict accordance with GAAP and O’Reilly accounting policies. This includes resolving identified issues, making necessary corrections, ensuring continuous compliance with SOX controls, and thoroughly maintaining all supporting control process documentation.
• Support Audit Processes: Actively assist in both internal and external audit processes as required, providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate smooth and efficient audits.
• Perform Financial Analysis: Generate essential reporting and analysis for management, conducting monthly analysis of various balance sheet accounts. This also involves performing monthly analytical reviews and reasonableness tests for various income and expense accounts, analyzing budget-to-actual variances, and diligently researching and correcting any detected errors.
• Contribute to Budgeting and Collaboration: Provide assistance in the annual budgeting process through the development of estimates, essential tools, and comprehensive reporting. Additionally, collaborate with team members across finance and other departments to identify and implement improvements in processes and overall operations.
• Provide Operational Support: Deliver a high level of service to operational groups and departments by providing prompt and thorough responses to financial questions and requests for enhanced reporting. This role also involves assisting management with special projects as needed and providing support to other members of the Finance department.

• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Career level: Entry-Level.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and frequent deadlines.
• Skills: Attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication, accuracy, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
