The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Gulfstream Aerospace, located in Savannah, GA. Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, designs, develops, manufactures, markets, services and supports the world’s most technologically-advanced business jet aircraft. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and ensuring timely reporting primarily focused on capital projects, contributing to the overall financial integrity of the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger: Analyze and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger for financial reporting.
• Financial Data: Prepare and compile financial data in a timely manner to support established schedules and deadlines.
• Journal Entries: Prepare journal entries and their supporting schedules for closing processes.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile assigned accounts, including the preparation of appropriate documentation.
• Process Improvement: Identify problems and potential improvements to existing financial systems and processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of related experience is necessary. A Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a CPA certification, may offset one year of the required experience.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of financial reporting principles, ability to analyze financial reporting data, and familiarity with financial reporting systems.
• Bonus: SAP experience is preferred, as is knowledge of ASC 842 Lease accounting and strong technology expertise in other applications.
