Staff Accountant – October 2027 | Kreischer Miller

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Kreischer Miller, located in Horsham, PA, starting in October 2027. • Team: Within either the Audit & Accounting department or Tax Strategies department, reporting to Senior Accountants, Managers, and Directors.
• Mission: To support senior team members in delivering core accounting and tax services to clients, contributing to accurate financial reporting and tax compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn and apply the foundational technology and daily processes used within either the Audit & Accounting or Tax Strategies department.
• Support Senior Accountants by assisting with various tasks such as preparing client confirmations, updating internal control forms, or organizing client tax data.
• Prepare basic work papers using Excel to test client accounts (e.g., cash, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, fixed assets) or to assist with tax return calculations.
• Contribute to client service by assisting in tax return planning, including forecasting income, preparing estimated payments, and planning around special tax events.
• Collaborate with and provide direct support to Senior Accountants, Managers, and Directors across your chosen team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, with graduation expected by August 2027. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is explicitly required, but proficiency in the use of computers and software programs is essential.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in computer and software programs, including Excel for preparing work papers.
• Strong analytical abilities, encompassing a quick understanding of the “big picture,” effective issue identification, and task prioritization.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence, client service, and professional growth.
• Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player.
