What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of journal entries, financial analyses, and financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
• Account Reconciliation: Conduct monthly account reconciliations and provide detailed explanations for any fluctuations found.
• Process Improvement: Research and resolve various accounting items, making recommendations and assisting with the implementation of departmental procedures and systems.
• Data Management: Understand the flow of data and effectively utilize computer-based accounting programs, while also maintaining information flow with other departments.
• Record Keeping: File and maintain comprehensive records of Corporate Accounting data and supporting documentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Skills: Good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); Intermediate MS Word proficiency; Intermediate MS Excel proficiency.
• Bonus: Strong attention to detail and accuracy; Strong analytical skills; Strong verbal and written communication skills.
