This Staff Accountant position is an integral part of the Accounting team, providing essential support for critical month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring reporting compliance, and conducting detailed financial analysis. This role is specifically designed for recent graduates as part of the Momentum Launch Program, a cohort-based early career experience offering hands-on training, mentorship, and meaningful work to accelerate professional growth within the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Records Management: Assist in the preparation and diligent maintenance of financial records, which includes executing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and managing the general ledger system.
• Close Process Support: Support the critical month-end and year-end close processes by preparing comprehensive financial reports, analyzing variances from budgets or forecasts, and ensuring the accurate and timely creation of financial statements.
• Transaction Processing: Efficiently process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, encompassing precise invoice processing, meticulous payment tracking, and effective collections management.
• Financial Data Auditing: Conduct routine and thorough audits of financial data to ensure utmost accuracy, verify compliance with company policies, and uphold strict adherence to established accounting standards and regulations.
• Accounting Projects & Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams to gather necessary financial information, resolve any discrepancies, and contribute to various accounting projects and compliance documentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level candidate graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field, possessing a foundational understanding of accounting principles, core financial reporting concepts, and familiarity with US GAAP.
• Experience: Demonstrated prior experience working with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT, coupled with proven leadership experience gained from extracurricular activities or previous professional roles, showcasing the ability to drive project success.
• Skills: Strong organizational capabilities with a keen attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a challenging work setting.
• Bonus: A willingness and eligibility to pursue a CPA license, along with familiarity with specific accounting or ERP systems, such as NetSuite.
